Rest and relaxation have been the inspiration in the remastering of this beech wood Parker Knoll. As the British do love to be beside the seaside, a very fitting striped deck chair patterned fabric has been chosen to complement the surf board shaped armrests. The wooden frame has been hand sanded back to its natural colour which is reminiscent of our beautiful cornish beaches. Junk Gypsies are proud to deliver you a slice of British to be seated in all year round.

In a time before refrigeration the properties of aluminium were harnessed by Grundy Teddington LTD to keep the every day peoples milk cool during transport. These four little fellas were made specifically for Northern Dairy’s in Bridlington but with vast leaps in technology since WW2 they have been redundant for many, many years. Life however just got a little more interesting for these old timers. After securing new employment with Her Majesty’s Secret Service, each of them has visited the Junk Gypsies tailor for new suits and hats. You will be pleased to know that these secret agents now have a licence to chill and will serve and protect your beers on long hot summer days. 00-Heaven if you ask me!

This chair has undergone nothing short of a reincarnation. From a tail of woe into a wordless poem of colour, texture, light and life! A family heirloom for generations in the Americas, shipped across the Atlantic then abandoned for thirty years in a small upholstery shop in Worcestershire England.
Individual hand cut segments of fabrics, sewn together then sculpted around the carcass of the piece. Truly the light in the darkness of any room it resides in.

What has the DH 98 Mosquito aeroplane and this chair have in common? Ebenezer Gomme made them both. During both WW1 and WW2 his furniture factories and workforce were utilised for the war effort to construct the aircraft. AMAZING!!
23 years after his death his legacy was still going strong. The 1950’s saw a rebranding of the company to G-plan. Derived from Gomme plan, a plan for living.
This rock solid light oak G-plan frame has been Re-upholstered in coloured fabrics to suit the companies 1950’s rebranding with coloured buttons for that Junk Gypsies signature of course! We hope who ever comes to own this remarkable piece of British history takes the time to recount the story of Ebenezer and his workforce to friends, family and children before bed time seated in his very creation.

Beautifully restored by hand is this exquisite Ercol dining table and four chairs. The drop leafs and table top have been sanded back to a untreated state then hand waxed and buffed between each of the eight layers. The table legs and chairs have been stripped, sanded and painted . Every chair and table leg is completely unique to the others as the distressed look is applied by hand, painstakingly sanded, then waxed and buffed to create truly beautiful and individual pieces of furniture.
